Utilize Your IRA to contribute in 2009

For tax year 2009 donors to the Seton Medical Center Foundation who are 70 and older are eligible to contribute up to $100,000 each year from their IRA plan tax and have the amounts count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).  Although the funds are not tax deductible, the RMD will not be included in your taxable income.  The funds must move directly from your IRA to the Foundation.  Your plan administrator can assist you with this transfer process. After you reach your RMD you can continue to donate funds from your IRA in the same manner.
